Distinguished Alumni

The college recognizes alumni for their career achievements, community engagement and service to NC State. The universitiy's 'distinguished alumni' are celebrated by the university's Alumni Association at an annual Evening of Stars gala. These individuals are representative of the high caliber of graduates who serve the university and the community with distinction.

Nora Shepard: Poet, Teacher, Advocate

Nora Shepard, a poet and alumna of the college's Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing program, was recently honored at the NC State Alumni Association's eighth annual Evening of Stars gala as the 2011 CHASS Distinguished Alumna.
